Jim Harbaugh to the Colts is a perfect fit

The Colts looked like the worst NFL team in their blowout loss to the Rams in Week 1. Colin thinks Chuck Pagano is as good as gone, and of all the candidates that could replace him, one name is head and shoulders above the rest. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh has a history with the organization, and a reunion with Andrew Luck, whom he coached at Stanford is exactly what Luck needs to revive his stalled career.

Michigan fans will say he’ll never leave his alma mater, but Harbaugh’s career resume shows he never stays in one place for very long. Taking on rebuilds is what he does. This could happen, and it should happen.

The Saints are going nowhere with Sean Payton

The Saints lost their opener to the Vikings, 29-19, and looked unimpressive. Under Sean Payton, New Orleans has gone 7-9 in in four of the past five years, and this year looks like it could be as bad or worse.

Colin thinks it’s obvious that whatever magic Sean Payton conjured when he led New Orleans to their 2009 is Super Bowl is long gone, and it’s time to look at replacing him.

He’s remained untouchable because of his relationship with Drew Brees, and is living off his reputation from his Super Bowl win, but any other coach that goes 7-9 in four of five seasons would have been gone a long time ago.
