Jerry should call Saban
with Jason Garrett carrying out the final weeks of his coaching death march, Urban Meyer’s name has surfaced in the rumor mill as a potential replacement, but Colin thinks Jerry Jones should make another call…to Nick Saban. Saban is a young 68, the same age as Pete Carroll, and working harder than ever with the 365 day recruiting period of today’s college football. Belichick, on the other hand, is all football during the season and has time off in the offseason to recharge. Saban may have failed with his Miami rebuild, but Dallas has a stacked roster and under performing defense, his specialty. Right now would be the perfect time to step into the position with expectations low after a disaster year.
