It feels like Robert Kraft had the final say on Tom Brady’s future with New England
After trading backup Jimmy Garoppolo, it appears that Tom Brady will be the starter in New England until he decides to retire. The move to keep an aging Brady, while trading away a younger asset goes against every principle that Bill Belichick stands for, and Colin thinks the move to ship off Jimmy G has Robert Kraft’s fingerprints all over it.
He thinks it’s likely that Kraft made the final call on Brady’s future, given their close personal relationship, and his loyalty to Brady. Even Belichick has a boss, and this decision smells like it came down from the top.
Wisconsin shouldn’t be rewarded for having a Fake ID schedule
The College football rankings are out, and Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Clemson grabbed the top spots. Undefeated Wisconsin came in at 9. Colin thinks Wisconsin is a top program, but they shouldn’t be rewarded for dialing up Florida Atlantic and Utah State as non-conference opponents in a year where they knew they didn’t play Penn State and Ohio State in the regular season.
Colin commends the committee for not being rewarding an undefeated team like Wisconsin with a Fake ID schedule over one-loss teams who have legit schedules.
Trading Kelvin Benjamin was the right move even if Cam doesn’t like it
The Panthers traded Kelvin Benjamin to the Bills and Cam Newton has already expressed his displeasure with the move over social media.
Colin thinks the Panthers made the right move to trade his favorite target Benjamin to force Newton which will give more targets to Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. It’s not what Cam wants, but it’s the right move for the team.
