We’ve historically judged conferences by the top teams, and right now, using that criteria, the Big Ten is better than the SEC. The SEC still has more NFL players, but if you take Nick Saban out of the SEC, it’s loaded with a bunch of guys that could be fired in 3 years. According to Colin’s SEC/Big Ten Coaching Draft the Big 10 has 7 of the top 10 coaches between the two conferences.
“If we’re judging on the top, the Big Ten is the best conference, and the reason it is, coaching.”
Andrew Luck was out at a press conference taking the blame for his organization again. It’s not his fault and he needs to stop the false humility of taking all the blame. He should start calling the incompetent coaching and front office out. That shows true leadership.
“I don’t always buy into this false humility, ‘It’s always my fault.’ At some point, Magic got a coach fired. LeBron got a coach fired. MJ got a coach fired. And Peyton Manning got Jim Mora, Sr. fired. And I’m Ok with that.
Stars should have a voice. And I’m totally Ok with that. Even it’s calling out an inept coach or general manager.”
Colin thinks the NFL is sandbagging Monday Night Football because ESPN does investigative journalism and can be critical of the league, while all the other networks are cheerleading the NFL. That’s why the Thursday night games have become progressively better and Monday Night Football is dying.
