Hard to believe Urban didn’t know
After being placed on paid administrative leave, Urban Meyer awaits his fate pending an investigation to find out if he knew about a 2015 domestic violence incident between his former wide receivers coach Zach Smith and his ex-wife.
As this scandal unfolds and gains downhill momentum, it reminds Colin of past scandals at Penn State and Baylor where the denial was formed around the idea that people that talk to each other every single day never once discuss the topic at the center of the controversy.
Colin wasn’t buying it then, and he’s not buying it now. Unless Meyer can come up with something better, it might be over for him in Columbus.
Lamar Jackson/Flacco QB controversy starts at the HOF Game
If there is one must watch NFL rookie it’s Lamar Jackson, and Colin thinks tonight’s Hall of Fame Game will begin a season long quarterback controversy in Baltimore between Jackson and longtime starter Joe Flacco.
Colin thinks Jackson needs to sit for at least a year to learn the NFL game, but predicts he’ll make plays against backups playing vanilla defenses and impress fans tonight. Jackson’s tantalizing preseason performance will lead to Ravens fans calling for Jackson to play every time Flacco struggles.
