Green Bay escaping against the Bears is nothing to celebrate
Aaron Rodgers came back from what looked like a serious knee injury to lead a legendary second half comeback and get a win against the Bears, but Colin doesn’t think there’s any reason to celebrate.
Not only did Rodgers barely avoid missing significant time for the second season in a row, he also felt the immediate repercussions of Green Bay not trading for Mack, and instead letting their rivals get him. The Packers escaped more than they won. It’s not going to get better and Khalil Mack isn’t going away.
Dak and these Cowboys have a low ceiling
The Cowboys started the 2018 by losing to the Panthers on the road, 16-8, and although they didn’t get blown out, Colin thinks they looked unimpressive in just about every way possible.
Dallas looked limited and lacked explosiveness and Dak Prescott looked average and still doesn’t push the ball down the field in year three. Jerry Jones always wants his teams to be interesting, and this version of the Boys looks boring, safe. If they struggle this year, Jerra will have to decide whether Dak is the answer at quarterback, and if it’s time to move on from Jason Garrett in order to make another title run.
