Doug Gottlieb in for Colin:
The Lakers and Knicks are the only landing spots big enough for LeBron
Many think LeBron James and the Cavs are heading for their second divorce, and Rob Pelinka and Magic Johnson have made it obvious they are thirsty to sign the King. Doug thinks that, in his final stop, LeBron may choose a destination based on where he can play, grow his brand, not solely on where he can win titles.
If LeBron leaves, the only to destinations big enough to allow LeBron, Inc. to grow are New York and Los Angeles.
O.J. Simpson still resonates and divides
O.J Simpson was released from prison after serving 9-years of a 33-year prison sentence, and the hearing was the biggest trending event of the day. Doug pointed out that the Simpson murder trial changed how our society perceives many things, including media coverage and the legal profession.
Whether you love or hate O.J., for those that are old enough the Bronco chase and verdict were events that everyone remembers where they were when they happened. It’s why a documentary and a miniseries about the trial were both popular, and why people are tuning in today.
