Gottlieb in for Colin:
Rockets’ all small ball is the future
The Rockets have had some mixed results since going all in on small ball at the trade deadline by shipping out lone big Clint Capela, but Gottlieb thinks the all small ball concept is the future of the NBA. He sees it as the next evolution of what the Warriors started, and thinks teams will have no choice but to adapt their rosters to compete, or get run off the floor by teams like the Rockets or the Pelicans with Zion at center. It’s okay to not like it, but it’s here and it’s not going away.
