Gottlieb: Micro Rockets’ Over Lakers A Win For Analytics
Image via @Rockets

Gottlieb in for Colin:

Micro Rockets over Lakers a W for analytics
The Rockets went all in on small ball by trading away line big Clint Capela at the trade deadline, and were taking heat for not fielding a player over 6’6” on their current roster. Most expected the Lakers would beat the micro Rockets into oblivion at home, but instead Houston unleashed a can on L.A. and may have finally found the best way to utilize Russell Westbrook. The 48 minutes of death lineup completely took the Lakers out of their gameplan, which was abandoned by obsessively, and inefficiently, pursuing mismatches. It remains to be seen if the new look Rockets can make a serious playoff run when the games are slower, but last night was a win for analytics.
