Gottlieb: Eli Shouldn’t Be A Hall of Famer

Gottlieb in for Colin:

Eli shouldn’t be a Hall of Famer

Eli Manning officially called it quits today, retiring as a beloved New York sports legend, but Gottlieb doesn’t think he’s a Hall of Famer. Eli fans will point to the two Super Bowl runs as the majority of his case, but Gottlieb points out that Manning only led the G-Men to 5 double digit win seasons in 16 years, and a career record right around .500. Manning was great in two postseasons, but he wasn’t great in general for the majority of his career. Make no mistake, Eli will get in, but it wouldn’t be a slam dunk if his last name wasn’t Manning.
