Gottlieb in for Colin:
The Browns and Baker Know Who They Are
Baker Mayfield only played one drive during the Browns first preseason game last night, but led a blistering no huddle drive for a TD, and then celebrated with the same enthusiasm as you would expect during the regular season.
Doug didn’t get the no huddle look, but he does think that letting Baker be Baker is the best way for Cleveland to get the most out of him, as opposed to trying to reign him in and make him someone he’s not. The Browns, as a team, look like they’re going to be a pedal to the metal offense that is going to celebrate enthusiastically, and unapologetically. Some people may not like it, but they have an identity and know who they are.
