Giants drafting Daniel Jones would be a big mistake
Kyler Murray has generated by far the most pre-draft buzz, and most expect he’ll be the first QB off the board tonight, but Duke’s Daniel Jones has seen his stock rise more than any other incoming QB prospect. Multiple reports claim the Giants are interested in selecting Jones with the 6th pick, and Colin thinks this would be a massive overreach and a huge mistake for New York.
He doesn’t understand how Jones has avoided the same microscopic scrutiny Dwayne Haskins has endured leading up to the draft, and sees plenty of red flags that Jones could be a bust in the wrong situation. The Giants can jumpstart their rebuild by drafting defense and picking up Josh Rosen. Drafting Jones would do the opposite.
