Don’t make penalties reviewable over one call
The outrage over the pass interference non-call at the end of the NFC Championship is still going strong, and it appears the NFL will at least consider a change to the replay system which would allow penalties to be reviewed.
Colin thinks this it’s a big mistake for the NFL to even pay lip service to the idea, and any changes that are made because of it would be a massive overreaction. Just like MLB overreacting to a tie in the All-Star Game by putting playoff home field advantage on the line was a huge mistake, the NFL would making another one by making long-term changes to replay over one call in one game. Move on.
