Kevin Durant needs to win a championship

The Warriors are getting set to face the Cavs in what is being hyped as an all-time Finals clash of the titans. While a title could pull LeBron even with Jordan in the eyes of many, or help Steph Curry redeem himself after disappearing in last year’s Finals, Colin believes no one has more on the line than Kevin Durant.

Durant recently made comments downplaying the importance of a title to his legacy. Colin disagrees. It’s disingenuous to say he doesn’t care about championships when It’s the whole reason he jumped ship from the Thunder to join the Warriors. If it wasn’t, then why leave in the first place?

If Durant can’t win a title with a legendarily stacked Warriors, he’ll be labeled as a player who comes up small in big in the biggest moments in the playoffs. What’s his value if he can’t bring home a title with this historically dominant team?

“If you don’t win a ring, you’re going to be known for the headline that made you mad, ‘Mr. Unreliable.’ ….Kevin Durant needs to win a championship.”

Tiger Woods arrested for DUI

Just before the show, the news broke that Tiger Woods was arrested and charged with DUI after at around 3 AM this morning in Florida. Woods’ unflattering mugshot has already taken over the internet and taken its place in the pantheon of famous celebrity mugshots. It’s not flattering.

The arrest is a culmination another year of health problems, and when it has become apparent that the great final comeback of Tiger Woods is never going to happen.

Clearly Woods, like anyone who gets a DUI, used bad judgment and should have acted more responsibly. Maybe it was just a bad night, but the arrest looks like a mid life crisis for a generational superstar who has lost his physical greatness, and needs to figure out what do with the second half of his life. At this point he’s more of a golf icon than a golfer.

Tiger Woods is the gold standard of prodigy kids, and it looks like even he is completely burnt out.

“I’m rooting for Tiger, always have.”
