Dallas with Dak is a better version of Denver with Tebow
The Cowboys got an impressive 13-10 win over the Saints on Thursday night, thanks to their suffocating defense and ball control offense. Dak Prescott also probably earned himself a contract extension with the W, but Colin thought he was more of a liability than an asset, despite a decent statistical night.
Prescott finished 24 of 28 for 248 yards and a TD, but Dallas didn’t score in the second half and barely held on thanks to their D and Ezekiel Elliott eating clock on the ground. Colin thinks Dallas and Dak look like better version of what the Broncos were with Tim Tebow. ‘
Dak is far better than Tebow as a QB, but – like Denver – for the Cowboys to win they need to run the ball and play great defense because they can’t count on Dak to win in a shootout. The Broncos won games with Tebow and even beat the Steelers in a playoff game, but after a while it became obvious Tebow could never put a team on his back and carry them to a win. Last night was a great win for the Cowboys, but doesn’t mean they’re set up to win big over a long period of time with Dak under center.
