Dallas can decide on Dak now that he has Amari Cooper
The Cowboys took advantage of the Raiders growing fire sale and pulled off a trade for under-performing former 1st rounder Amari Cooper in exchange for a 1st round pick. Dallas got killed by fans and media when they made the deal, but Colin likes the move.
Colin would have preferred to give up a second rounder for Cooper, but Cooper gives Dallas a potential weapon who may flourish outside of the total dysfunction in Oakland under Jon Gruden. It also puts in place enough pieces for Jerry Jones to make a decision about Dak Prescott’s future with the club. With Cooper in place, Prescott should have enough weapons to show enough signs that he’s the long term answer at quarterback, or if Jerry Jones is better off cutting him loose than backing up the Brinks truck.
