Conor McGregor is a 16-seed playing a 1-seed
Conor McGregor is a huge betting underdog in his upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather, but the public is still heavily betting on the UFC Champ.
McGregor has shown he is more than capable of trash talking with the best of them in the pre-fight press tour, convincing many he might have a chance. Colin isn’t buying it and compares McGregor’s chances of beating Mayweather to Kent State going on the road to beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, or a 16-seed playing a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Even though the public loves McGregor and hates Mayweather, and wants him to win, it’s wishful thinking. He has no shot.
“Conor McGregor is the con man here.”
The Lakers need to sit Lonzo Ball for the rest of the Summer League
Lonzo Ball had his second triple-double in a row in the Summer League last night, but Colin thought he looked sluggish and inefficient. Ball has played the second most minutes any player in the league and it looks like he’s worn down.
Summer League is fun to cover or media to cover in the dead period of the July, but it’s meaningless, and at this point there’s no benefit to keeping him out there. Ball has played well, for the most part, but Magic needs to pull the plug and look forward to a promising regular season.
Chris Broussard – FS1 NBA Analyst is in-studio to discuss Lonzo’s Summer League performance; why he thinks Lonzo wearing other brand shoes is a ploy to get a marketing deal; and why L.A. makes sense for LeBron.
Derek Carr – Raiders quarterback joins the show to discuss his return from injury; if he’ll be able to play with rushers around his legs; and how Marshawn Lynch will help take the offense to the next level.
