Chip Kelly would be a great fit at Florida

Rumors are flying that Florida has heavy interest in hiring Chip Kelly to replace Jim McIlwain, but some are saying Kelly wouldn’t be a fit down south in the intense SEC culture, but Colin thinks this is ridiculous.

Sure the SEC pressure is more intense on a weekly basis than he faced in the Pac-12, but the Gators have been a disaster, especially offensively, for years, and Kelly would immediately make them watchable. He would also have a built in recruiting advantage that’s exponentially better than he had at Oregon, where all of his players were imports.

There are no perfect fits for coaching hires, but Chip Kelly would definitely work at Florida.

LeBron could continue to dominate the East by joining Porzingis in New York

Most of the discussion regarding LeBron James’ potential 2018 free agency destination has focused on heading to L.A. or staying in Cleveland, but today in The Herd, Colin turned the conversation away from LeBronzo, and examined the possibility of James staying in the Eastern Conference to team up with emerging superstar Kristaps Porzingis for the Knicks.

The move would allow LeBron to move to join a legit #2 in a massive market, but also remain in the very winnable Eastern Conference, instead of getting pounded into submission with the Lakers in the West. Surely James could coax Paul George or another top free agent to play with him at the Garden.

Bronzingis makes a lot of sense.
