Brady will surpass Jordan as the overall G.O.A.T. with another Super Bowl
Tom Brady effectively ended the debate over the greatest football player of all-time when he won his 5th Super Bowl over the Falcons, and Colin thinks if Brady can beat the Eagles and win his 6th title, he’ll surpass Michael Jordan as the greatest team athlete of all-time.
Even though Jordan defenders always point to his undefeated Finals record when his greatness is challenged, the teams he beat to do so weren’t nearly as impressive as those that Brady has taken down. Brady has beaten the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ Rams, a championship Seattle roster, and denied Peyton Manning of multiple Super Bowls with the Colts. Jordan beat the aging Lakers, the Suns, and Utah twice.
Frustrated LeBron dealing with the harsh reality of ‘Coming Home’
LeBron was universally praised for his decision to return to Cleveland, but now he’s reportedly unhappy with the organization’s decision to not pursue Paul George and how they handled the Kyrie Irving trade.
Colin isn’t surprised by the dysfunction, but ultimately it’s what LeBron chose when he decided to return. He left the free agent hot spot of Miami, and the organizational stability of Pat Riley to make an emotional decision to return home to the less stable Cavs and Dan Gilbert. Like many homecomings, it sounds like a great idea in theory, but when you’re back for too long, you realize why you left in the first place.
LeBron’s best move in his upcoming free agency would be to make his next decision as a basketball player, not a state-savior.
