Brad Stevens got Jason Kidd fired in Milwaukee
Jason Kidd was fired yesterday, despite the support of his franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even though the Bucks ownership pulled the trigger on the move, Colin thinks Celtics coach Brad Stevens was the one who got Kidd fired, albeit indirectly.
Stevens is the best coach in the NBA, and has the Celtics with the best record in the East, despite losing significant contributors, and being forced to play the season without free agent acquisition Gordon Hayward. Comparatively, Kidd did little to elevate a talented Bucks roster. Ultimately, Kidd’s shortcomings as a coach were magnified by Brad Stevens’ succeeding with less.
Andrew Luck is still an elite NFL QB
Andrew Luck missed the entire season while recovering from injury, but Colin still believes Luck is one of the top QB’s in the NFL.
Even though many fans have written off Luck, Colin pointed out that most NFL personnel people he talks to would only put Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz ahead of Luck to start their franchise. When Luck returns, it will be to a more competently run organization with GM Chris Ballard, and a better supporting cast. Colin doesn’t understand those who can pick apart Luck for going 11-5 three years in a row with nothing around him. Write him off at your own risk.
