Boston isn’t ready to take down Cleveland in the East
The Cavs have been a complete mess recently, and the chatter that the Celtics could take out Cleveland and win the East, this year, has become more prevalent.
Colin has said Brad Stevens is the best coach in the NBA, but he still thinks Boston is a year away from surpassing Cleveland as the top dog in the conference. Even though the Celtics have the East’s best current record, standout rookie Jayson Tatum has suddenly hit the rookie wall and won’t be a factor in the playoffs. Also, “LeBron stopper” Jae Crowder is now on the Cavs, and there isn’t a clear heir apparent.
Boston has done a tremendous job with their rebuild, but they aren’t ready to beat LeBron in a 7 game series, this year.
LeBron is the best overall NBA player of all-time
LeBron scored his 30,000th point last night, joining elite company, and becoming the youngest player to do pass the milestone. Colin thinks LeBron entering the club is even more impressive because LeBron isn’t a scorer first.
Even more impressive is that LeBron will end up surpassing Magic’s career assist total, even though he wasn’t surrounded by the anywhere near as talented a supporting cast as Johnson. Michael Jordan may be the greatest player of all-time, but LeBron is the most complete all-around player of all-time.
