Belichick should tank for Trevor Lawrence
Bill Belichick will enter this season without Tom Brady for the first time in twenty years, and most think he’ll continue to try to win at all costs, but Colin thinks Belichick might already be looking ahead to the 2021 draft and potentially replacing Brady with another generational QB talent in Trevor Lawrence. Belichick has already shown he might be willing to tank for a year by indicating unproven second year Jarrett Stidham will be the starter when he could win more with a proven veteran like Andy Dalton. Belichick isn’t called the genius for nothing, and tanking for Lawrence, or Justin Fields, is the smart move.
