Baker Mayfield isn’t Brett Favre
Baker Mayfield is poised to be selected by Cleveland with the first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, reportedly because GM John Dorsey – who was formerly a Green Bay exec – sees Brett Favre franchise changing attitude in the Oklahoma QB.
Colin doesn’t see it and thinks the comparison is off base. Favre was a generational physical talent. As a prospect, Mayfield is undersized and doesn’t have anywhere close Favre’s NFL potential. Colin thinks the real winner is Sam Darnold, who will be spared the chaos of Cleveland and will land in a better situation to set him up for NFL success.
Cleveland should love LeBron even if he leaves
LeBron added another memorable moment to his massive career highlight reel with a buzzer beater to beat the Pacers and take a 3-2 lead in their first round series. Colin still firmly believes the Cavs roster is so bad that LeBron will leave in the offseason, but if he does Cleveland should still show him the appreciation he deserves.
LeBron has accomplished his mission of bringing a title to a city labeled a notorious loser, and elevating a franchise that has been a bottom feeder. This time around they should skip the jersey burning and show him respect for the amazing years he has brought to the team and the city.
