Baker deserves blame for loss to the Raiders
The Browns suffered another devastating loss, this time to the Raiders. and Cleveland fans are up in arms after a game-clinching fourth quarter first down spot was reversed and allowed the Raiders to get the ball back and score the game-tying touchdown. Colin is shocked at how no one is blaming Baker Mayfield for the loss since he had four turnovers, including a pick six.
Colin didn’t think Mayfield played well because he only completed just over 50% of his passes in addition to the turnovers, but Cleveland has already decided she can do no wrong, even when he doesn’t play well. If they’re willing to overlook his part in the loss, they’ve already made up their mind he can do no wrong. This is the world we live in. Affirmation over information.
Aaron Rodgers is more Marino than Brady
The Packers beat the lowly Bills, but after the game Aaron Rodgers appeared to take shots at Mike McCarthy and the offensive gameplan. Colin has always said Rodgers is one of the top QB’s in the league, but he’s also difficult to get along with, often injured, and has no problem taking a shot at someone whenever the opportunity presents itself.
As far as a talent, Rodgers is generational, but in his 11th year, he has one Super Bowl and has largely been surrounded with better offensive personnel than Tom Brady. The media has a longstanding love affair with Rodgers, but Colin thinks he’s more Marino than Brady when it comes to the all-time list.
