Jimmy G’s the tortoise, Mahomes is the hare

The Super Bowl quarterback matchup seems one sided with NFL supernova Patrick Mahomes taking on frequent hand off artist Jimmy Garoppolo, but Colin thinks the Niners slow growth model of building a complete team around him takes all the pressure off for the Super Bowl and why he thinks San Francisco wins on Sunday. For the Chiefs, it’s all on Mahomes, and will be for the foreseeable future. If he loses, the pressure will only increase all on him, because it’s always all on him. Throw in the added pressure of trying to win Andy Reid his first title and Mahomes’ burden will only increase every year until it gets done. Even if the Niners lose, it doesn’t change any narratives about Garoppolo or Shanahan. That’s why Colin likes San Francisco on Sunday. No pressure.
