Many thought LiAngelo Ball got off light when he was indefinitely suspended from the UCLA basketball team after the the freshman and two teammates created an international incident by allegedly shoplifting from stores near the team hotel during a team trip to China.
Not LaVar Ball.
According to TMZ, Ball is yanking LiAngelo from UCLA because he believes his son’s punishment was excessive. Per the report:
“We’re told LaVar believes the suspension was unfair, especially since the charges were dropped. LaVar’s people tell TMZ the famous dad thinks, “There’s no need to break down a kid’s spirit for making a mistake.”
Head coach Steve Alford hasn’t publicly reacted to the report yet because he’s probably too busy spraying himself with champagne like he just won the national title now that he never has to see or hear LaVar Ball ever again.
Leave a message he’ll get back to you right after he takes off his ski goggles and empties the last bottle of Dom.
