The Carmelo Anthony/Rockets experiment has been a fill blown disaster a month into the NBA season. Coming off a trip to the Western Conference Finals, Houston sits at 5-7 and Anthony has failed to fit in. Over the weekend news broke that GM Daryl Morey is preparing to cut him loose.

Today in The Herd, FS1 NBA Analyst Chris Broussard stopped by and told Colin that if and when Melo is released, he should hang it up rather than trying to hang on and move to another team with a reduced role. Broussard thinks Melo is a hall of famer, but risks being remembered for his final subpar seasons if he keeps hanging on rather then as a perennial all-star.
