Following the retirement of Carson Palmer, the Cardinals need to address the quarterback position this offseason. Many expect them to explore the possibility of drafting a QB with the 15th overall pick, which means they could have to make a decision on the polarizing Baker Mayfield.
Today, Arizona GM Steve Keim joined The Herd from Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine and discussed his approach to evaluating players with red flags like Mayfield.
While Keim didn’t directly discuss Mayfield’s off-field issues, he did imply that most players with red flags don’t change once they’re in the league. What the Cardinals do with the 15th pick if Mayfield is still available will be one of the more interesting decisions of the first round.
