Tony Romo has drawn rave reviews for his early work in the broadcast booth, but former Cowboy Deion Sanders is not among them.
While watching a replay of K.C. DB Marcus Peters whiffing on a tackle during the CBS broadcast, Romo commented that Peters was a worse tackler than Sanders, which was meant as a joke, but ended up setting off “Primetime.”
During Gametime Prime, Sanders went scorched Earth on Romo, pointing out his 2-4 playoff record, that he never won a Super Bowl, and that Dak Prescott took his job. Deion also reminded the former Cowboy quarterback that he has a gold Hall of Fame jacket.
Jerry Jones might need to step in to stop this Cowboy on Cowboy crime.
To be fair to Romo, saying Deion Sanders wasn’t a good tackler isn’t some taboo revelation. Here’s a super old clip of Sanders making a “business decision” in a game against the Steelers.
