We all know eventually we’ll wind up as nothing more than fuel sources after technology develops to a point where the machines no longer need us. One of the more disturbing recent trends this year has been the advancement of super high end deepfake videos that can easily fool anyone who doesn’t bother to question the of the first thing they see on the Twitter machine.

Most of us are dumb enough to think we can easily tell a fake video from a real one, but a video circulating on social media may make you rethink that. In the video, Bill Hader on The Late Show with David Letterman seamlessly morphing into Tom Cruise and Seth Rogen like a shapeshifter sent by the devil as he does some hilarious impersonations.

This tech will really be a hoot during the election. The first time one of these goes viral it won’t matter if it’s true. We’re toast.

I watched this video last night and it’s still freaking me out. A deep fake where Bill Hader *turns into* Tom Cruise and Seth Rogan *while impersonating them*. (via @MohamedGhilan / Ctrl Shift Face on YouTube) pic.twitter.com/59evJ5Etfi
