The Los Angeles Rams shocked the sports world by drafting QB Ty Simpson with the 13th pick in last weekend’s NFL Draft and the more they try to explain their process, the less sense it seems to make. Stugotz thinks the whole thing is patently absurd.
John “Stugotz” Weiner: “This whole thing is so strange, so odd, including Sean McVay acting upset after he took the guy he knew he was going to take. He held a secret meeting with him… But what an odd story. The Rams, Les Snead, McVay, Stafford's getting up there in age. They had the audacity to draft a quarterback. They felt the need to tell Matthew Stafford beforehand, to tell Stetson Bennett beforehand as if they owe him something. The whole thing is patently absurd.”
