Darius Acuff Jr. – Proud to Be Considered for the Wooden Award

Arkansas hoops star and Wooden Award finalist Darius Acuff Jr. joins Stugotz & Company LIVE!  They dive into the rough start to their season and their exit from the tourney in the Sweet 16. And Darius talks about how honored he is to be in consideration for the John Wooden Award.

John “Stugotz” Weiner: “Darius, why are you the player of the year? I see you smiling there…”

Darius Acuff Jr.: “I got a lot of reasons, but, you know, it's not my opinion. It's not my vote. I don't got nothing, you know, to do, but I know what I've done. I know how good of a player I am. If I get it, like I said, I'm blessed to be here. It's the Wooden, you know, it's John Wooden, so it's a legendary event, you know. But, yeah, I definitely, you know, I feel like I've done a lot of great stuff, and these guys have too, so whoever wins it, you know, Imma still be proud.”
