Kelvin Washington: “I think they’ve got their young core that they can say is like Boston, like the old Steph-Klay Warriors team, a core that they can build around. I think that’s starting to become what we’re seeing in the NBA, you get your two or three guys in the draft and build around it and hope you’ve got something for the next 5 or 6 years.”
Rob Parker: “I disagree. I think this is a one-off for Oklahoma City, because of history. We would have said the same thing about the Celtics, but one injury has changed the whole trajectory of the Celtics. When Giannis won, we thought they were set up to win multiple and that looks to be over. Denver won one, but they didn’t hold their pieces together.”
On this edition of The Odd Couple, Rob and Kelvin debate whether or not the OKC Thunder are set up for a dynasty or if they’ll be another one-and-done.
