Colin: Time to take Aaron Rodgers out of the G.O.A.T discussion

The Packers and Aaron Rodgers put on another lackluster performance in a disappointing 24-17 loss to NFC North rival Minnesota, and Colin thinks Rodgers decline this season, and prolonged inability to win on the road should take him out of the longstanding G.O.A.T. debate with Tom Brady.

Against the Vikings, Rodgers only passed for 198 yards and a TD, and is now 1-9 in his last 10 games on the road. His cultish defenders always point to his lack of supporting cast, but running back Aaron Jones has looked like a budding star, the Green Bay receiving corp is good enough that Green Bay should be putting up more points, and the Packer defense ranks 3rd in the league in sacks.

Colin thinks a large part of the blame falls on Rodgers, who has been inconsistent and seems quick to blame his teammates rather than look in the mirror. Colin has repeatedly said that Rodgers is one of the great quarterback talents of this generation – and a sure fire Hall of Famer – but thinks it’s time to take Rodgers out of the debate when it comes to discussing the greatest quarterback of all-time given his recent track record, and long drought of significant playoff success.
