With the NBA season wrapped up, LeBron James’ pending free agency decision is far and away the biggest storyline of the young offseason. According to Las Vegas odds and recent reports, the Lakers and Cleveland are currently the frontrunners to land James, but today in The Herd, Colin made the case for LeBron to consider a team that could dethrone the Warriors next year that not many are considering as an option.

Colin thinks James joining forces with Brad Stevens and a roster loaded with young talent would easily be better than what all the other suitors can offer. Although a reunion with Kyrie Irving would obviously be awkward considering their fall out in Cleveland, Danny Ainge likely wouldn’t bat an eyelash at trading Irving – who is unsigned after next year – in order to add James to the fold to make an immediate title run.

It’s hard to picture LeBron in a Celtics jersey, but joining forces with one of the best coaches in the NBA, a top front office, and a roster that almost made it to the Finals without stars, checks all the boxes.
