After a drama filled end to last season featuring tell-all exposés and Bill  Belichick’s controversial benching of cornerback Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl, it looked like the unshakable Patriots dynasty was showing signs of finally cracking. At the beginning of this season – like the past several seasons – New England looked far from dominant and and many questioned if they had even the bare minimum of offensive weapons for Tom Brady to win with.

Fast forward to December and, like clockwork, the Patriots are hitting their stride and looked prepared to make another deep playoff run. Following their businesslike home win over the Vikings, Colin thinks New England is now the clear favorites to win the AFC and head to another Super Bowl.

Throughout the season, the media and fans have been focused on the sexy new contenders like the high-flying Chiefs, and the drama-filled Steelers, but New England is completely drama free and resembles the machine they’ve been for almost two decades. Some people get bored watching the Pats continue their improbable run, but Colin just sits back in awe of the unparalleled consistency of the organization that he described as “Google with helmets.”
