During a press conference between games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals, LeBron was in a particularly relaxed, joking mood, despite the Cavs finding themselves on the verge of a Finals sweep and another loss to Golden State. Colin thinks he knows why.

He believes James has accepted his fate that beating the loaded Warriors isn’t in the cards this year, and he’s already mentally moved on to leaving the Cavs and starting the next chapter of his career. He also knows he fulfilled his primary promise to bring a title to Cleveland and has done everything he can with subpar support.

LeBron sounds like he’s in a good place, and he should be. He has more options than most people dream of and knows there are better days ahead. There’s no reason to be losing sleep.
