Colin: Cleveland should stick to the plan and sit Baker Mayfield

Yesterday, the Browns failed to get their first win in over a year with a gut wrenching loss to the Saints in New Orleans, and today Browns fans and many in the media are calling for Cleveland to end the Tyrod Taylor era and start rookie Baker Mayfield.

Colin thinks fans are overreacting because the Browns are on the path to respectability with a solid defense and an 0-1-1 record against two playoff teams to start the season. Most would agree their start is as good as they could have hoped through two weeks. He believes Cleveland should stick to their plan and continue to sit Baker, much like the Chiefs did with Patrick Mahomes, who is now lighting up the NFL.

Even though Cleveland hasn’t won a game yet, they will probably get their first this Thursday against the Jets and Sam Darnold.

“You’re 0-1-1… You get to face Sam Darnold at home on a short week… You’re going to be 1-1-1… You’re a kicker away from being 3-0. Tyrod Taylor has been exactly what you thought.”@ColinCowherd has a message for Browns fans wanting to see Baker Mayfield pic.twitter.com/W3ovuQvBGN
