Colin: Carolina should look at moving on from Cam if they struggle in 2018

The Panthers finished the 2017 season at 11-5, but Cam Newton had another roller coaster season, completing under 60% of his passes for 3,300 yards, 22 TD’s and 16 picks. Colin has long been critical of Cam for his inconsistency and said he’s not a Top 10 NFL QB, and is hated his apologist fans for it. Colin argues it’s not hating if it’s accurate. A recent poll of league execs ranking NFL quarterbacks came to the same conclusion, ranking Newton outside the Top 10.

With the Panthers entering 2018 with a stacked roster, loaded defense, and offensive weapons everywhere, Colin thinks there is no way to make excuses for Cam if Carolina doesn’t win 10 or 11 games and consistently put up some points. If he has another roller coaster year, Colin thinks it might be time for Carolina ask themselves if he’s the long term answer.

“If they don’t average 26-28 points, go 10-6 or 11-5, [the Panthers] have to look at Cam: ‘Is this the guy’?” — @ColinCowherd pic.twitter.com/If38pyMyf7
