The U.S. Women’s National Team beat Mexico 3-0 in their final exhibition tune up before the World Cup in New Jersey, but it was 96-year-old WWII Veteran Pete DuPré who stole the show before the game.

DuPré performed a tear jerking rendition of the Star Spangled Banner on his harmonica that captivated the crowd and was just about as close to perfection as you can get on a Memorial Day Weekend. Some things just give you chills and there’s no fighting it. This is one of those.

Enjoy your Memorial Day, but don’t forget what it’s really about. Take it home, Pete.
