2016 Zion Williamson vs. Hamidou Diallo Dunk Contest was Better Than the NBA Version

Hamidou Diallo is the NBA’s slam dunk champion after bringing a little life back to the competition during last Saturday’s installment and walking away with the title. The contest had more juice than some of the stinkers, but still wasn’t as electric as most anticipate next year’s to be with super freak Zion Williamson expected to join the field.

For those fiendin’ for a preview of a Diallo/Williamson 2020 dunk contest face-off, you don’t have to wait because the two went at it back in the summer of 2016 during an Under Armour showcase, under the lights, right under the Brooklyn Bridge.

This matchup is without question better than the product the NBA just put out, and also shows that Williamson has the potential to put on a rare Vince Carter like performance for-the-ages in the NBA contest. Here he’s only entering his junior year in high school. That’s scary.
