Have you ever wondered what the unfiltered atmosphere in an NFL locker room is like after a big playoff win?
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown wanted his legions of Facebook followers to find out. Last night, after the Steelers’ huge Divisional Round playoff win against the Chiefs, he posted a video of Mike Tomlin’s post game speech to the team on Facebook Live.
That was a big mistake.
Tomlin, who was obviously unaware he was being recorded and broadcast to millions of random strangers on Facebook, congratulated the team on the win, but also looked ahead to their upcoming AFC Championship Game matchup with the Patriots.
Tomlin didn’t have kind words for New England. He actually called them “assholes.” He also added, “We’ll be ready for that ass.”
“When you get to this point in the journey, not a lot needs to be said. Let’s say very little moving forward. Let’s start our preparations.
We spotted those a–holes a day and a half. They played yesterday. Our game got moved to tonight. We gonna touch down at 4 o’clock in the f–ing morning. So be it. We’ll be ready for that ass. But you ain’t gotta tell them we coming.”
Sports is rich with a history of bulletin board material, but this is the first full motivational video that will be used as motivation for an opposing team. Belichick might play this thing on a loop until kickoff.
Expect “Tony Toe Tap” to be back peddling away from this gem like the finale of Dancing with the Stars. What the hell was he thinking?
The video has since been deleted from Brown’s Facebook account, but here’s the entire 17 minute video because the internet lives forever:
