Besides from being known for riding one catchphrase to a nine-figure fortune, Larry the Cable Guy is also known as a huge sports fan, and Nebraska Football’s most famous supporter.
It turns out Larry was quite the athlete back in the day, too. In a recent interview posted to YouTube by Graham Bensinger, Larry explained he didn’t have what it took to make it on the gridiron, but was a hard-throwing left-hander for Baptist University of America.
He incredibly claims that during one game he was clocked at 95-MPH. He also named two guys on the team that could verify the story. He also said that when he recently tried to duplicate the feat, he clocked in at 52. Glory days.
It’s hard to tell what to make of the story. They say every decade adds 10 miles per hour to your college fastball.
