It’s already been established. Gregg Popovich doesn’t give a solitary damn about the NBA regular season. He’s the founding father of the league-wide plague of sitting healthy players for rest.
Last night, in game 81 of the games that don’t matter, Pop showed he could care less about finishing out strong.
With the Blazers trailing 98-97, and seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Blazers’ guard Shabazz Napier lost the handle on a drive to the hole. The bouncing ball wound up in the hands of Portland forward Noah Vonleh, who laid the gift in at the buzzer to win the game.
Pop wasn’t screaming mad over the last second loss, he literally sat on the sidelines and laughed his ass off. Surely he’ll recover from this “heart-breaker” in time for the playoffs.
Again, Gregg Popovich doesn’t give a damn about the NBA regular season.
