Today, in Suffolk Superior Court, former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was found not guilty of committing a 2012 double-murder. Hernandez is already serving life in prison for murdering Odin Lloyd in 2013.
Prosecutors accused Hernandez of murdering Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado in a drive-by shooting after an argument in a Boston area night club. Alexander Bradley, a friend of Hernandez who claimed he witnessed the killing, was granted immunity by prosecutors in exchange for his testimony.
Hernandez isn’t going anywhere other than back to his cell, but it’s certainly a legal victory.
