Security at the Braves new SunTrust Field is more like a SWAT team, based on the evidence from last night’s game.
Cameras tracked a foul ball down the first base line that was scooped up by a fan leaning over the railing. He made the nice gesture of giving it to a kid in the front row.
Immediately thereafter, an overly aggressive security guard sprinted from on the field toward the fan and leaped over the railing like he was in elite special forces training.
Paul Blart then ripped the ball away from the kid and ejected the fan. Even the announcers thought he needed to dial down the intensity a couple notches.
The fact that the guy was wearing double armbands and a performance undershirt is an obvious red flag that something is a little off. It’s a baseball game, not the NFL Draft Combine, man.
