Montreal hasn’t had a big league baseball team since the Expos relocated to D.C. 14 years ago, but last night during an exhibition game between the Blue Jays and Cardinals they were treated to an unforgettable moment by the son of one of their most beloved players.
Even though it was just an exhibition, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – a top Toronto prospect – smashed a a walk-off bomb to win the game with two outs in the bottom of the 9th and sent the Olympic Stadium faithful into a frenzy worthy of a playoff game.
Sometimes in sports, the story writes itself. Watch Vlad Jr. pick up where his old man left off. This is special.
