International soccer fights are nothing new, but when the players start turning the corner flags into weapons, we’re here for it.
After the refs lost complete control of a U-20 Copa de Libertadores match between Ecuador’s Independiente and Uraguay’s River Plate, a pack of Independiente players cornered a River Plate player and prepared to attack.
Instead of getting rat packed, the River Plate player pulled the nearest corner flag and started threatening to stab some fools. They smartly retreated.
This is more like a scene from the yard at San Quentin, other than the super weak ass fighting. Thankfully no one was shanked.
