Tom Brady finally held his first press conference since report leaked out that he suffered an injury to his right hand during a practice hit from a teammate. In order to keep the nature of the injury a secret, Brady showed up wearing gloves on both hands like he was headed to a snowball fight after the presser.
Brady said he wouldn’t discuss the injury at the beginning of the Q & A, gave expert non-answers when pressed, and wouldn’t definitively say he would play in the AFC Championship Game against Jacksonville. He also didn’t comment on the specific nature of the mysterious injury that is moving the lines in Vegas.
Fans will have to wait until game day to see if Brady’s injury will have any impact on his play, or if this has all been 9-dimensional chess to force Jacksonville to waste time preparing for Brian Hoyer.
