The Chiefs already had their Monday Night Football game won against the Redskins after Harrison Butker’s 43-yard field goal with 4 seconds remaining gave them a 23-20 lead with 4 seconds left, but all hope seemed lost for those -including Colin Cowherd – who picked Kansas City to cover -6.5 (7 for those that bet closer to kickoff).
Just when KC bettors were about to tear up their tickets, a miracle – or horrible twist of cruel fate for Redskins bettors – occurred when after a touchback, the Redskins tried to extend the game on the final play by lateraling the ball. After several pitches, Chris Thompson put the ball on the deck after mishandling a short toss from Jordan Reed, and Chiefs’ linebacker Justin Houston scooped up the fumble and ran into the endzone for 6, a 29-20 win, and an improbable cover.
The miracle cover put Colin’s Blazin’ 5 at 4-1 for the week, just like he drew it up. This is amazing – or heartbreaking for those that took the points – but this is Colin’s website, so amazing.
